225th Aviation Company Tuy Hoa, Viet Nam

Company party April 3, 1971 - This was only my 2nd day in the 225th Avn. Co. I thought it was nice of them to have a company party on my birthday. I didn't know anyone but I had a super 8 movie camera so this is what I filmed.

I spent a total of 33 months in Viet Nam, 19 months the first time (1967-68), and 14 months the second (1970-71). I was with the 18th Aviation Company in Qui Nhon and Pleiku for my first tour, and again with the 18th Avn Co this time in Tuy Hoa for half of my 2nd tour. We mostly flew for Special Forces so when the Special Forces left Viet Nam at the end of 1970, the Army shut down the 18th Avn Co and I was transferred to the 225th Aviation Company.
