“70 YEARS OF INNOVATION” describes SICK’s success story. On the occasion of the company’s 70th anniversary in September 2016, the film shows how an engineering firm in a small military barracks became a global company and a world market leader for intelligent sensor solutions. From its founding in 1946 by Dr. Erwin Sick, through a revolutionary invention a couple of years later, to sales of more than one billion euros: The founder’s widow, Gisela Sick, describes her memories of the most important milestones in the company’s history. Hitherto unpublished footage of the company founder can also be seen.
