HGVs banned from London. A drivers eye view of HGV roadsigns

Описание к видео HGVs banned from London. A drivers eye view of HGV roadsigns

Did you know that some HGV's are banned from driving in London during certain times of the day, and all of Sunday?
It's called the London Lorry Control Scheme.

Whilst some of us wish there was a permanent ban on all trucks at all times of the day, on the whole the scheme is sensible, allowing residential areas to enjoy quieter nights and weekends. Some hauliers and operators can apply for permits to allow them to operate in the times of the restrictions. They may need access to and from an operating base during the restricted times.

However, if you do not have a permit then you should find an unrestricted route. If you don't avoid the restricted route at the times of it's operation and do not possess a permit, then you are liable to rack up a fine.

But what if the local council has put signage up in the wrong place and you are forced to go into a restricted zone without even realising it?

We talk about it all here in this video!
