Chicago Bears News: The Bears have hired former Jaguars offensive coordinator Press Taylor to be their new passing game coordinator. Taylor has been a coach in the NFL since 2013 where he was with the Eagles as their QB coach before becoming the Colts’ senior assistant coach in 2021. He then became the Jaguars offensive coordinator in 2022 where he remained until last season. Chat Sports host Harrison Graham catches you up on the latest Bears coaching staff updates.

Jeff Hughes of DaBearsBlog reports that another coach that has worked with new Bears’ OC Declan Doyle claims that he’s a “super genius” and that he’ll be a future NFL head coach. Nicholas Moreano also reports that someone in league circles believes he’ll be a head coach within 2-3 years. In other Bears coaching news, Chicago is interviewing Ohio State OL Coach Justin Frye for the Bears’ OL Coach opening. Frye has developed several NFL draft picks including Paris Johnson Jr. and Dawand Jones. Ohio State’s Josh Simmons and Donovan Jackson are expected to be high draft picks this year as well. Lastly, the Bears have requested to interview Commanders’ assistant QB Coach David Blough for their passing game coordinator position. Blough has only coached for 1 year, but bounced around the league as a QB, including 4 years with the Lions when Ben Johnson was there.
