In a move aimed at reducing government spending, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi chose to travel on a regular flight for his three-day visit to Haryana, rather than utilizing a special government-arranged aircraft. The chief minister, along with his wife, purchased a ticket for a Vistara flight, demonstrating a commitment to fiscal responsibility.

Initially, the government had booked a special Legacy 650 aircraft for the trip, with a fare of ₹91.22 lakh. A second option, the Falcon 200, was also considered, with a rental cost of ₹78.55 lakh. However, in a bid to save taxpayer money, Chief Minister Majhi opted for the ordinary flight instead.

This decision has been viewed as a gesture of solidarity with ordinary citizens, reinforcing the chief minister's message of frugality and accountability in governance.
