Rajkumar Bharathi, born on June 24, 1958, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a distinguished Indian classical singer and composer. He is the great-grandson of the renowned poet and freedom fighter, Mahakavi Subramania Bharathi. Rajkumar Bharathi was introduced to music at the age of five by his mother, Lalitha Bharathi, who was also his initial music teacher. He pursued engineering and graduated as an Electronics and Telecommunications engineer from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai. After his initial training with his mother, Rajkumar received further tutelage from esteemed musicians such as Valliyur Gurumurthy, Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna, and T.V. Gopalakrishnan. Under their guidance, he honed his skills in Carnatic music, which laid the foundation for his illustrious career. Rajkumar Bharathi has performed extensively across India and internationally. He is known for his clear diction and expressive rendition of lyrics, which have garnered him a wide following, particularly in Karnataka for his interpretations of Dasara Padagalu. In 2002, Rajkumar was diagnosed with dysphonia, a condition affecting the vocal cords, which led him to shift his focus from singing to composing. Since then, he has composed music for various dance productions and thematic presentations, collaborating with eminent dancers and institutions. His compositions are noted for their creativity and adherence to classical traditions. Throughout his career, Rajkumar Bharathi has received numerous accolades. Rajkumar Bharathi's journey from a vocalist to a composer exemplifies resilience and dedication to the art of music. His contributions continue to inspire and enrich the Indian classical music and dance landscape.

Oh Lord of all Gods Sri Vasudeva, protect me, You are embodiment of mercy.
Today you dispel all my six enemies namely lust, anger, delusion, greed, arrogance and jealousy ( kama, krodha, moha, lobha, mada, matsarya) and make me your humble devotee.
It may be the result of my prayers. It may be due to the piety (punyam) of my forefathers. Oh Lord of Janaki, you blessed me with this birth and made me fortunate in this world.
