Hello🤔The video above shows the process of wrapping spring steel wire around a layer of PU plastic to create specialized steel-cored plastic pipes. This process requires a precise combination of temperature, pressure, and rotation speed. This process is usually carried out through automated steps on a pipe extrusion machine. PU plastic granules are melted in the extruder and extruded through a molding die as a soft, flexible, and transparent plastic strip. A copper-plated steel wire (to prevent rust) is fed into the machine. The machine then bends this wire into a continuous spiral spring shape. This is the most important step. The molten PU plastic strip is wrapped over the rotating steel core. Because the plastic is at a high temperature, it melts and adheres tightly to the steel core, completely enveloping the steel wire inside. After wrapping, the pipe is sprayed with cold water to immediately solidify the PU plastic, maintaining its spiral shape and elasticity.

Key Features of Steel-Core PU Tubing:

Extremely high durability: PU plastic has 4-5 times the abrasion resistance of ordinary PVC plastic.

Flexibility: The steel core prevents the tubing from deforming under high vacuum pressure and allows for flexible bending at tight angles.

Good heat resistance: Typically withstands temperatures from -40°C to +90°C (can reach up to 120°C for short periods).

Anti-static: The steel core can be grounded to eliminate static electricity generated during friction with the internal materials.

Purpose of Use
Thanks to its superior properties, steel-cored PU tubing is used in harsh environments:
Dust and abrasive material suction.Used in wood factories (sawdust suction), cement factories, and mechanical workshops to suction steel billets, sand, and small stones.

Food material conveyanc.PU is a safe material (usually FDA approved), so it is used to convey grains, flour, and milk powder in food factories.

High-pressure ventilation systems.Used in hot air extraction systems, chemical vapor extraction, or central air conditioning systems due to its good suction/discharge pressure resistance.

Plastic granule conveyance. Used in plastic injection molding machines to transport raw plastic granules from storage tanks to the machine hopper.
