You will need:
To make Tart Shell:
All purpose flour / Maida: 1 and ½ cup
Sugar: 3 tbsp
Butter: ½ cup / 100 grams
Salt: ¼ tsp
Cardamom powder: ¼ tsp
Vanilla essence: 1 tsp
To make Walnut Pie:
Randomly chopped Walnuts: 1 and ¼ cup
Walnut powder: ¼ cup
Powdered sugar: 1 cup
Honey: 4 tbsp
Butter: ½ cup
Hot fresh cream: ½ cup
Water: 3 tbsp
Vanilla essence: 1 tsp
Salt: a pinch

Preparation:
Take a baking tin and apply oil on the bottom and sides of the tin
Place a butter paper on the bottom of the tin
Apply oil on the butter paper
Keep aside the tin

In a mixing vessel, add all purpose flour, sugar, cardamom powder, salt, butter
Gently rub the butter with your fingers into the flour mix till the butter mixes well and resembles fine breadcrumbs
Add vanilla essence, water (2 tbsp)
Knead to make a stiff dough
Cover the dough with plastic wrap
Refrigerate for 2 hours

Remove the dough from plastic wrap
Dust the pastry board and rolling pin with flour
Knead the dough once again
Roll the dough to make it flat with consistent thickness

Gently remove the dough from the pastry board using the rolling pin
Gently place the dough over the greased baking tin
Pres the dough gently into the tan, trim the excess from the edges
Use the excess to even and cover the edges
Make sure the edges do not stick to the pan
Prick the base with fork
If your tart is not cool enough, refrigerate for 30 minutes

In a pan, place a stand
Cover and pre-heat the pan for 10 minutes
Place the tart into the pre-heated pan
Cover the pie with parchment paper / butter paper / aluminum foil
Fill the tart with pie weight with even distribution so the base doesn’t raise during baking
Bake for 25 to 35 minutes in medium flame till the edges are set and begin to turn golden
Remove from flame
Keep it aside to cool

To make Walnut Pie:
In a pan, add powdered sugar (1 cup), water (3 tbsp), honey (3 tbssp) and mix well
Turn on the flame and let sugar dissolve
Add butter (1/2 cup) and let it melt completely
Add pinch of salt and mix well
Stir continuously
Add vanilla essence (1 tsp) and mix well
Add hot fresh cream (1/2 cup) while continuously stirring
Let the mixture come to boil
Cook for 3 to 5 minutes till the mixture thickens
Remove from flame
Add randomly chopped walnut (1 and 1/4 cup) and mix well
Add walnut powder (1/4 cup) and mix well
Keep it aside to cool and thicken
Transfer the walnut caramel mix to the tart shell
Fill the tart shell evenly with the walnut mixture
Refrigerate for 2 hours
Once cooled, place a plate on the baking tin and flip it over to remove the walnut pie
Flip it and place it on a plate
Walnut pie is ready to use
