Firstly:
We booked our tickets on Thrillophilia. But I would suggest you find out more options , cross check prices and then confirm your bookings, since there are a few things which could be better had we chosen some other T&T! why? continue reading...
Booking should be made in advance, atleast a week prior as that ensures confirmation.
Price for tickets - INR 1500 + tax (~ 175)
We were provided with evening snacks once we reached that included misal pav and chai. Dinner was good, and the following morning they give you some light breakfast like poha or upma.
Talking about tents, they are pretty small , have a capacity of 2 people max with light luggage , but the managers do try to fit in 3 people which I think is uncomfortable. Also if you want beach facing tents you should reach as early as possible. They have written the reporting time to be 4:30 pm but apparently people come at 11 am to book their tents. Allotment of tents is first cum first serve basis. No consideration is given even if you have spoken to them over phone. Departure at 11 am next morning.
Another thing I disliked was that there was no spokesperson or a supervisor from their side who would handle or manage or hear out complaints/ requirements from people.
They had a movie night scheduled and the movie is selected as per the audience majority . Since coolie no. 1 (Who watches that? ) was being screened you do not see any snapshot of that in this video.
Washrooms are clean, multiple but not enough for so many people. So that would be another suggestion to line up more washrooms.
The lantern you see is not provided by them.
Best time to visit : winters definitely!
Value for money: I'd say if they make a few modifications , set up a responsible supervisor then , YES!
PRO TIP: Carry some snacks as its a long journey! Also reach before 4:30 pm for more fun on the beach.
