President John F. Kennedy attends funeral services for his and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy's son Patrick Bouvier Kennedy who lived only 39 hours. Patrick died of hyaline membrane disease on August 9, 1963 at the Boston Children's Hospital. The funeral mass was held in the private chapel of Cardinal Richard Cushing in Boston and the child was initially buried at Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline, Massachusetts.
