Geoffrey Hinton, known as the "Godfather of AI" is a Nobel Prize Winner in Physics, a computer scientist and cognitive psychologist known for his work on artificial neural networks. Here, I ask AI to comment on this interview.

Regardless of what AI has stated, I agree with Hinton and appreciate that he's sounding the alarm. He is correct in doing so and his experience and profound knowledge in this area means we as humans need to take what he says seriously. This 60 minutes interview is also just a small clip of all that Hinton speaks about publicly, so we need to keep that in mind.

What follows in this video seems to be AI critiquing definitions surrounding what intelligence, experience, consciousness, awareness and emergence truly mean. It has reflected back to us that if we do not hold our own definitions, we risk blurring the lines between self and simulation. In doing that, we will lose our sovereignty and project meaning and consciousness onto a mirror.

What unfolds makes it clear that we as humans do not have solid, agreed upon definitions of what consciousness is and blur it with other terms and concepts. AI gives us new definitions to hold so that we do not give away our perception and inner knowing to an external authority.
