A quick update for August: Checking the progress of honey production on some NUCs that we have split and distributed across the yard. These NUCs came from overwintered colonies and they are performing very well. We also show a Queenless Hive and checkup on our comb honey hives.

A Queenless Hive may not sound too different at first, but there is a low hum due to the bees fanning their wings. They fan their wings to distribute the last of the Queen's pheromone throughout the hive.
