With the festive season approaching, it's time to try your hands on our very own exotic delicacy "Kala Jamun or Black Jamun".

Kala jamun is prepared with khova/Khoya which is prepared by evaporated milk. Technically it follows the same procedure as that of Gulab Jamun however, it is roasted till dark (just a few shades away from black), hence the name Kala without losing any of its sumptuous charm. This process of darkening is also called "caramelizing".

Ingredients:
Khoya - 1 1/2 Cup
Paneer - 1/2 Cup
Maida - 1/2 Cup
Sooji - 1/4 Cup
Sugar - 2 Tbs
Baking Soda - 1 tsp
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
Chopped Nuts (of your choice) - 2 Tbs
