Introductory intertitle reads: "Meet Alec Shaw whose knowledge of birds is only equalled by his imitative ability."



L/S of Alec standing in a studio set decorated to look like a woodland scene at night. He wears a tam-o'-shanter and has a tartan blanket around his shoulders. To a piano accompaniment he does his bird impressions. The set is supposed to represent Scotland.



Alec describes his whistling technique, how he listens to the "words" the birds sing then repeats them in a whistle. C/U of Alec demonstrating.



He impersonates parrots, blackbirds, skylarks, robins, owls, cuckoos and lots of other birds.



He ends with the sound of the nightingale.
