In 1977 at the age of nine years old Brian was taken into the care of the local authority by the then, Sunderland Borough Council’s, Social Services Department.

As a result of his experiences Brian has campaigned against child abuse to try and prevent it happening to others. Brian was awarded damages, but not Justice.

Sadly as you'll discover, the level of abuse that Brian received throughout his childhood is not uncommon.

I have attached a link to Brian's full story below, and I will put a trigger warning on this as the sexual and physical abuse that Brian endured is truly horrific for any human being to endure let alone a 6 year old child.
