Summers here and I was in need of some fun new clothes so I went on a clothing haul from ghanda clothing 🌞 After watching the documentary the true cost a couple of years ago I quickly became aware of the negative impacts that the fast fashion industry has on the environment as well as all of the workers who are making the clothes for huge companies like h&m and zara (just to name a few) from that moment on I made the decision to purchase all of my clothes either second hand, or from ethical and sustainable clothing brands. I've been even trying my hand at making some things! The problem I've had with purchasing from sustainable and ethical brands has been is finding clothes that fit my style (if you've ever browsed around sustainable clothing you might have an idea about what I'm talking about) until I found ghanda clothing!

Ghanda produces all of their clothes in their warehouse in Australia, according to their website they source some of their fabrics ethically from china, all of their suppliers follow the BSCI Code of Conduct and are WRAP approved (warp monitors and certifies lawful, humane and ethical production in the clothing and textile industry.) While not all of their clothing is made out of 100% sustainable fabric many of their pieces are made out of linen, cotton, and gauze.

At the end of the day the most sustainable thing to do is to buy things secondhand. I think ghanda is a great store for those who don't want to purchase from fast fashion brands but also aren't able to afford purchasing from only sustainable brands as well as for those who don't resonate with the styles that sustainable brands often have. (I love a good pair of organic cotton yoga pants but sometimes real pants are fun too 😂) Ghanda's clothing is well made and I have no doubt that it will last me a long time and that I will wear all of the pieces that I got to death!
