James O'Brien is joined by LBC's Henry Riley to discuss the news that no charges will be brought against former Reform MP Rupert Lowe following an investigation into allegations of verbal threats against the party’s chairman.

The Crown Prosecution Service reviewed the evidence submitted by Reform UK and concluded that no further action would be taken.

In response, Lowe has launched an attack on party leader Nigel Farage, calling him a “coward and a viper” and saying he was ashamed to have ever represented the party. He says Farage should “never be Prime Minister” and has described his former colleagues as untrustworthy.

Lowe had been suspended by the party earlier this year amid internal rows and allegations about his conduct. He consistently denied the claims, calling them a politically motivated “hit job” designed to smear him for challenging Farage. Reform UK had reported him to police in March, alleging threats of physical violence toward chairman Zia Yusuf.

Lowe dismissed the claims as false and said they were intended to damage his reputation after he bruised Farage’s ego.
