From May 2021 to March 2024, I had the opportunity to work as a Cinematic Lead / Director on Outcast : A New Beginning at Appeal Studios (THQ Nordic).

With an amazing team, we created more than 3 hours of real time cinematic content in Unreal Engine 4.

Due to the Open World nature of the game, we had to remain flexible and adapt quickly to the environment and lighting updates.

The animations were made in maya but all the other steps such as Layout, blocking, editing, have been done directly in Unreal Engine. This helps us a lot in our iteration process.

We spend several weeks capturing all the motion capture data with talented actors.

It was my first experience as a director and I really loved to work on set with all those people, driving the team and sharing my vision with them.

My role during the production was to collaborate with each department to build the internal pipeline and supervise the sequences to reach the final quality.

I also worked a lot on all aspects of several cutscenes. Putting my hands in the engine is what I love the most.
