Описание к видео The Normalisation of Sexual Harassment of Women | Tobe Amamize | TEDxLSE

The reality of today is that sexual harassment is normalised, and I think it is high time that this reality was checked”. After conducting a series of interviews with students here at the London School of Economics my initial suspicions were confirmed. Sexual harassment amongst women is pervasive. In my talk I share the findings from the interviews I conducted, and also share my own personal experience of sexual harassment. I go on to talk about what a normalisation of sexual harassment can lead to, and I end by a call to action. Tobe Amamize was born in Nigeria, but grew up in Scotland. She is a
second-year LLB Law student at LSE. In line with the theme of reality
check, her Ted Talk focuses on the normalisation of sexual harassment
of women. The unfortunate reality of today is that the sexual harassment of women is normalised, and isn’t it high time that this reality was checked? After experiencing sexual harassment herself and hearing about the experience of others, she wanted to share this with people in the hopes that it leads to a change. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
