Here is a radio from around 1991 which was a point at which we saw the cheapest new radios on the market & it was the era of 'also ran' brands & Midland sets full of dry joints.

As usual, Mr Chippie drove along our 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route. He stopped at the 5-mile point to conduct a low power static test at 370mW. Full power was 3.8W on this radio.

Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio we use in the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' flag on this video.
