Uukwandongo Village was a hive of activities on 26 September 2015 when people from all walks of life in Namibia converged on this quiet village in Omusati Region. According to reliable sources, King Johannes Mupongolitha Mupiya is the 25th king of Ongandjera, who succeeded the late King Jafet Mukundi who died on 26 July 2012. The event was attended by H.E Dr. Sam Nujoma, Founding President of the Republic of Namibia, Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, and other community and traditional leaders.
