Ideal Tennis Grip Pressure For Each Stroke

Описание к видео Ideal Tennis Grip Pressure For Each Stroke

Ever wondered what’s the right amount of grip pressure for all tennis strokes? https://www.feeltennis.net/grip-press...

The usual advice of coaches is to hold the racket more loose but you have to be careful not to misinterpret this tip.

The racket namely must not be loose in the hand as to move inside the hand. If it does, you will have very poor control of the racket.

How tight you hold the racket mostly depends on your skill level. You cannot ask a 3.0 NTRP player to hold the racket as loose as the NTRP 5.0 because 5.0 is a much more skilled player.

Your goal is to hold the racket as loose as possible while still having good racket head control.

In all of my strokes the grip pressure on a scale if 1-10 is 2 in the preparation and then it varies from 3 to 7 at the contact point depending on how easy or difficult the incoming ball is.
