AH NSWR tradition. With rumours of the pending closure of Georges Plains (252 km west of Sydney) as a crossing loop staff station, I spent some time shooting video. At the time, the two Electric Train Staff instruments connected the single line sectins between bathurst and Georges and Newbridge and Georges. Today this is all gone to history, the 34 km section between bathrust and newbridge operated under Rail Vehicle Detection (aka Single Line Track Block). The bell codes were a charming facet of the ETS system, 3 bells for train arrived and 2 bells for train departed etc.
