After visiting 12 cities in 12 months in North America, we moved to Ireland for three months. There were lots of preparations to make: storage, phones, securing a rental car, and flights. Watch our video for some tips you might want to use if you're moving to Ireland (or elsewhere in Europe) from the USA.

Two quick recommendations:

If you're flying into Dublin and want to rent a car, consider getting one from the Tadg Riordan Tallaght Toyota dealership https://www.trmtallaght.ie. They offer short-term rentals. We had our vehicle for three months, but we were told that a person can rent one for just a day as well. It was a great experience working with Keive Murphy at Tadg Riordan Tallaght.
