Should help with timing issues! This is the method I am using :)

Transfer components to create glitched/modded type of outfits! Very similar to the Director Mode Glitch but much easier!

*WARNING Your outfits will be deleted/replaced if you do not transfer first from your component character*

1. Add components on component character &save
2. Swap to Character you are creating outfits for, head to a peyote plant location, set spawn location to last location, and buy ammo to auto save game
3. Hold down on d-pad and swap to Storymode character Michael

4. Obtain a 1-Star Wanted Level in Storymode by beating up a few pedestrians or shooting at cars, put all weapons away, and stand still while officers approach you
5. When screen starts to fade into the "Busted" or "Wasted" screen, click your PS Button on your controller, go to GTA Activities, and find an friend's activity (bounty, new vehicle, clothes shopping, completed heist) that allows you to Start GTA Online
6. Click on Start GTA Online, press X on the alert to quit GTAV and once the loading screens put you in the clouds on GTA w/an orange circle at bottom right hand corner, press your PS Button again, go to Settings-Network- and disconnect from the internet
7. Click back on the GTA application, accept the alert that says you've lost your connection, and press your PS Button again, go to Settings-Network- and connect back to the internet
8. Hover over your GTA application until you have fully connected back to the internet, go to GTA Activities, and find a friend's activity (bounty, new vehicle, clothes shopping, completed heist) that allows you to Start GTA Online, and you will see a blurry background appear with "Joining GTA Online" in the bottom right hand corner of the screen for 2-3 minutes
9. When you load into online, Franklin will split from your GTA Online Character and you will be in an online session as Franklin
10. Quickly run over to the peyote plant, press right on your d-pad to start to eat it, press options on your controller as soon as you feel the vibration click Options-Online-Join Friends
11. When you land in a new session you will be invisible with just the mini map showing and you need to quickly press Options-Online-Swap Character and select the character you put components on

12. After 1-2 minutes, you will get a Timed Out Locating Session alert.. press x and when the screen unfreezes in the background, close your application
13. Restart your GTA application and begin to hold R1/L1 after the blonde girl has gone away and the screen turns black until you get the Display Calibration screen and press x
14. Once you've loaded into Storymode, go to Options-Online-Play GTA Online-Invite Only Session, accept Rockstar's Policies, and when you load in you will have your new outfits!


*If you are testing components or outfit names transfer but you are unable to click on them, start a versus job called Crooked Cop (need 1 friend), set to Player Owned Clothing, choose outfit in question, add a rebreather, quit job through phone, then immediately start a mission called A Titan of a Job (alone), and you can make changes or check outfit at Ammunation, in your apartment, or in you CEO building. Make sure you save outfit in the job and again in freemode.

*If you make a mistake, close application and restart with R1 & L1 and start over :)
