Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the creation of the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office, also known as Texas DOGE, signing the bill into law on April 23.

"Texas DOGE will lead to spending cuts, regulation cuts and a more user-friendly government," Abbott said.

Texas DOGE took effective last Monday on September 1, so its impact remains to be seen.
