Wang Nam Khiao Forest Trail Ride in Nakhon Ratchasima

Описание к видео Wang Nam Khiao Forest Trail Ride in Nakhon Ratchasima

The day's ride is on the west of the main highway. Although most of the landscape and amenities within 20 km of the road are the same as on the east side, things change as you push further out. On this ride, I explored dirt tracks bordering Khao Yai National Park. It was slow and muddy going but a lot of fun. It's made me think that I need another bike for this kind of riding. It's a great excuse to buy just one more!!

Wang Nam Khiao is a small mountainous district at the southern tip of Nakhon Ratchasima Province. It's just over an hour's drive from Korat and about a three hours drive from Bangkok. It provides an ideal get-away for either a day or weekend for those wanting to escape to nature and away from the city.

Fruit and vegetables are grown on much of the fertile land in Wang Nam Khiao. You can buy the local produce at the many markets or directly from one of the numerous farm shops. Many of the farmers use organic methods on their land so you're guaranteed to get top-quality fresh produce.

There are plenty of restaurants to cater to hungry travelers. Plus, for coffee lovers, there is an abundance of great coffee shops with most of them selling coffee from locally produced beans. It's very tasty and well worth giving a try.

Wang Nam Khiao has bike paths, for bicycle touring, and hiking trails for the more adventurous. But, if you want to take it easy, you're well catered for too. There are plenty of places close to the roads that offer incredible views and photo opportunities. Some of the fields are even dedicated to growing flowers, and for a small entrance fee, they provide a brilliant and unforgettable photo experience. Just check that the flower fields are in bloom before you go!

For those wanting to stay for the night, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to accommodation. There is everything from camping, to boutique, to high-quality hotels and resorts.
