Please make sure you have the following documents ready for each category.
Category 1: Domicile Certificate, the below documents are must and also you should be staying in Karnataka for 6 years or more. (Else your parents should have domicile certificate OR you should have done 10th in Karnataka)
1. Ration Card In Karnataka with proof of stay in Karnataka for 6 years or more OR 10 standard pass from school in Karnataka. (Must)
2. Aadhaar Card In Karnataka. (Must)
3. Voter ID in Karnataka. (Desired)
4. Passport in Karnataka. (Desired)
5. Handwritten (scanned) application requesting for Domicile certificate and also mentioning your proof of document showing you have completed 6 years or more in Karnataka (Example ration card taken at the present address 6 years before)

Category 2: Residence Certificate.
1. Ration Card In Karnataka (Must): To make ration card online watch:    • Apply | Get | Check Status Of New Rat...  
2. Aadhaar Card In Karnataka. (Must)
3. Voter ID in Karnataka. (Optional)
4. Passport in Karnataka (Optional)
5. Sale deed/Rental agreement copy (Any one of this is must)

2. Get ready the documents for your application category in PDF format (altogether less than 2MB).
3. Make sure you do the application process from a computer (Not from mobile/ipad)
4. Watch carefully the e-signing part explained in the video (Applicant name should be same as in aadhaar, including space and dot)
5. Watch carefully the payment process (UPI preferred, but other options also there)
6. Watch very carefully the printing part. (You can print to file not to printer). As explained in the video if you have NOT DISABLED THE POPUP BLOCKER, then print fails, and again you have to pay 25/- rupees online to enable the print of your domicile/residence certificate.
