The catch up event in game allows you to get towards endgame. You can basically get OP gear and monsters or build your favorite monsters. To tackle most of the current game up to hard levels of content. Just do the book tutorial to level jump up. It's great just to do it to get all of the free stuff. And then dip out if you wish.
