To ensure safety and for extending the life of the battery, it’s essential to manage the battery’s thermal capacity.
This video focuses on steady-state thermal analysis of 18650 Lithium-Ion cell and explains its necessity in case of the electric vehicle battery pack heat management. How lithium ion battery works and its calculations for determining the maximum temperature of the cell while in continuous operation are also demonstrated in the video. The software ANSYS 2021 R1 workbench is utilized to model and simulate a solid cell.
