"That was something that me and Bender started writing together, with this concept where we’d play a note each and create a mono line - with me on the downbeats and Bender on the upbeats. We worked on it until it became fast and super comfortable and became a big part of that song. That’s a really good example of how Hiatus can write, from an idea as small as that. Then we played it for Pez, and he says, ‘I’m gonna try to play something I’ve never played before’; then we played for Nai, ‘Woh! That’s amazing!’ and she writes to it.” - Simon
