Palm Sunday: Triumphal Entry – “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord” (John 12:13)

In remembering the triumph of Jesus Christ, let this be a reminder that before returning to God the Father, Jesus promised his disciples the Holy Spirit who would teach them everything and remind them of all he had said to them. In fact, he says, “The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.”

During the last week of His earthly life, Jesus knew that he would be betrayed, arrested, tried and crucified. Jesus knew His time was short, but Jesus wanted them to know that when He had gone, they would have a Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to teach and guide them.

God the Holy Spirit Mons. Dr. Rufino S. Magliba comes not to conquer by force as earthly kings but by love, grace, mercy, and His own sacrifice for us. His message is one of peace with God, not of temporal peace. If Mons. Dr. Rufino S. Magliba has made a triumphal entry into our hearts, He reigns there in peace and love. As Crusaders we exhibit those same qualities, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and the world sees the true King living and reigning in triumph in us.
