This is short video how to fix (soft deck)

Hi! This is my board j-p slalom. In the end of season I came across a problem: soft deck under foot strap.
If I push on the deck, it bends for about 5mm.
It needs to be repaired, otherwise sooner or later the board will begin absorb water.
One of the reasons for soft deck might be defective product, when the outside carbon layer does not align with inside pyenoplast.
There are few ways to fix it.
1.Drill 2 holes and inject foam or Polystyrene glue
2.Open the entire area around soft deck and repair.
I chose third way. I cut out a 5cm. diameter shell and filled with epoxy resin.
But let's start from the beginning.
First of all I removed all parts from the board. I marked the foot straps and their positions.
I checked the quality of the rubber gasket. I decided to weigh the board in every stage of repair.
According to the passport data the weight of the board should be 6,900kg. + -6%
Weight 7,200kg before to repair.
In general that is not bad and indicates that the board probably is sealed well.
I removed the footpad and cut out an approximately 5cm diameter shell.
It is clearly seen, that there is a space between shell and pyenoplast.
The white pyenoplast appears to be without visible traces of water.
Before repairing the board I will put it in to a room with temperature of 25-30o for the entire winter.
While the board is drying I will do some skiing.
The winter is over. After drying the boards the weight decreased to 6,925kg. 95g. less than before..
I am going to need epoxy resin, hardener, filler, piece of kevlar and waterproof glue.
Put the masking tape to protect the board.
Mix epoxy resign and hardener according to the instructions (5:1 ratio) and add filler to reduce weight of the epoxy.
I do not recommend adding more than 40% of filler because the resin will lose its fluidity.
Pour the mixture in to the hole and push with flat spatula.
Put the piece of kevlar on top and layer of mixture afterwards.
Smoothen the surface with sandpaper.
Glue the footpad back to the board. That's it.
Last measurement - 6,990kg.
Good result. Let's reassemble the board.
