1949년에 창작된 교성곡 “압록강”(조기천 작사. 김옥성 작곡)과
1910년대쯤 만들어진 “사향가”(북한의 제목 “사향가“, 남한의 제목 “내 고향을 이별하고”)
를 담아내고 창작하였다.
