In celebration of what would’ve been Jeff Porcaro’s 67th birthday, here is a hit from Toto’s The Seventh One that features Jeff’s deep groove and creative fills that define his style. I love the power of Jeff’s drum part in this song. His backbeat and kick have so much weight, but yet carry the groove through the entire song. He compliments Steve Lukather’s guitar parts perfectly with his fills in the bridge before the final choruses. Though it is mainly just a brisk love song, Porcaro’s feel really define the tone of meaning of the song. He was a true musician and master!
