Certainly! Here's a basic recipe for making brown bread:

Ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat flour

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)

2 tablespoons honey or molasses (optional, for sweetness)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, and salt.

In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Add honey or molasses if you want a sweeter taste. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the yeast mixture and vegetable oil or melted butter.

Stir everything together to form a dough. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more flour.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Punch down the risen dough to remove excess air. Shape it into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.

Let the dough rise in the pan for another 30 minutes.

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
