For years, the Metropolitan Police chief has pledged to cut out rogue officers in his force, which an official review declared was institutionally misogynist.

But in practice, many women still have to fight to make this happen when they are targeted by the very officers they have turned to for help.
One of those women is Kristina O’Connor, who complained about a detective who sexually harassed her after she reported being mugged.

What she didn’t know was that a serving officer also complained about the same detective for his conduct towards her and other female officers.

We went to meet both women to talk about their battle and whether moves to rid the service of misogyny are really working.
