🎧 DOMNIQ – Water Ripples (Live at Aural Spaces)
Morning Sound Bath | 4DSOUND | The Concertgebouw, Amsterdam

Start your day with space, sound and stillness.

Last December, DOMNIQ performed Water Ripples live in the Recital Hall of Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, during the Aural Spaces Festival. This Morning Sound Bath was a deeply immersive concert in collaboration with 4DSOUND by Poul Holleman and light artist Nick Verstand.

We transformed the traditional setup: the audience lay on cushions and rugs throughout the hall, surrounded by 41 speakers and instruments placed in between them — on the floor, in the corners of the ceiling, and hanging in mid-air. A surreal, intimate environment emerged where sound could ripple like water, and gravity felt optional.

The concert explored four textures: Water, Paper, Wood, and Metal. DOMNIQ improvised live, responding to the space, the audience, and the moment. Between the textures, composed pieces for melodic percussion, warm synths, bell-like sounds and rain-like electronics wove the experience together — like one long meditation.

It begins with breath. A floating soundscape. A moment to arrive.
From there, the room begins to move.

This is a sonic world where acoustic virtuosity meets electronic space design — where percussion becomes presence.
