Kia Soul 2009 First generation (AM; 2008-2013)

Kia Soul First Generation (2008-2013):
The first-generation Kia Soul was introduced in 2008 and went through several updates until 2013.
To replace the stop lamp on a first-gen Kia Soul, follow these steps:

Access the Tail Light Assembly:

Open the trunk and locate the tail light housing.
Remove any interior trim panels or covers that may be obstructing access to the tail light assembly.

Remove the Tail Light Assembly:

Look for the three screws securing the tail light assembly to the vehicle body.

Use an appropriate screwdriver (usually a Phillips head) to remove these screws.

Carefully pull the tail light assembly away from the vehicle body.

Replace the Bulbs:

Once the tail light assembly is detached, you’ll have access to the bulb sockets.

Turn the socket counterclockwise to remove it from the tail light housing.

Take out the old bulb and replace it with a new one (make sure it’s the correct type and fits snugly).

Insert the socket back into the housing and twist it clockwise to secure it.

Test the Lights:

Before reassembling everything, test the brake lights to ensure they are working properly.

Reassemble:

Align the tail light assembly with the vehicle body.

Secure it in place by tightening the three screws.

Replace any trim panels or covers you removed earlier.
