SubhanAllah we are almost halfway through Ramadan - time flies when you are having fun and enjoying yourself

And the good news is alhamdulillah when you get your metabolism right you can enjoy eating whatever you want in moderation... but at the same time if we have 0 discipline with our diet, our metabolism won't be optimized.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately. . .Always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course, whereby you will reach your target (of paradise)." — Source: Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 8, Hadith 470

The same applies to your fitness - it's not about restricting yourself but it's also not about overeating

Our Prophet (SAWS) also told us: “The son of Adam cannot fill a vessel worse than his stomach, as it is enough for him to take a few bites to straighten his back. If he cannot do it, then he may fill it with a third of his food, a third of his drink, and a third of his breath.” — Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2380

So what is the middle road when it comes to diet?

I've found what works best for the majority of our clients is eating 80% clean, complex carbs and lean proteins with high fiber, so your metabolism is then optimized to burn off anything you eat that falls outside of that list, which gives us a lot more flexibility and helps us optimize health and fat loss

However there are of course some nuances to this in Ramadan due to changes in our metabolism and appetite, so check out this video and let me know what you learn in shaa Allah!
