I dedicate this metal Series to my Close college friends. Ones who are my beloved till my last breath. Their name goes Commander Satish Desai, Kamlesh Kulkarni, Rajan Thapa, Sirish Warke, Sheshgiri Nath ,Anil Patel, Mukesh Patel , Rajeev Sharma, Yogesh Shukla, Vinay Parikh, Nilesh Doshi, Vimal Trivedi, Paresh Harihbhakti, T Gojen Singh ,Ashok Pandya , Rajan Karanjgaokar , Shardul Shah and many more. I've learnt some or many things from all of them. I owe golden days of life with them. Some of them enjoy liquor drink even today.

Zinc ( Zn ) is known as Yashad or Jashat or Jashta in Hindi .

India enjoyed manufacturing monopoly till late 16th Century AD.
This metal was unknown to Europe till 16 th Century .

Chinese Travellers understood @ this metal .

Aayurved mentioned as Yashad ,in 4th century AD
" Rasratnakar Samukhya " documents in 13 th Century AD , described in details @ Zinc .

It is mined third largest Non ferrous metal after Aluminium and Copper.

Zinc is very helpful for Healthy Human being and Plants as well (5-20 mgm per day )
Zinc reduces effects of Liquor ( Strong Alcoholic drinks )
It balances mental Tranquillity
It effects Croaps and Vegitation also
Tomato, Onions ,Garlic , Green Salads, Grapes Pears, All citrous Fruits/ vegetables contains Zinc .
In Mashroom , zinc content is very Rich .

Jhawar mines ( Near Udaipur - Rajasthan ) Zinc were mined since Mauryan Empire .300BCE

It's main element ( upto 48%) in Brass.
it's combination with Al and Nickle is known as German Silver .
It's numerous alloys with Cu, Mg, Al is popular worldwide .
Till Medieval time Zn oxides were used for Brass and Bronze production .
In Modern era Physician and Chemist Pereselsus Identified this as Seperate metal ( Which was known to India since time immemorial.)
German Scientist Genkele , seperated this metal from Calamine ore .
while , English Metallurgist John Kamethene , Patented Commercial Zinc production process.

It's widely used in dry cell and Button Cells .

Ist Formost revolution came through Zincography due to this metal
2nd with Photo Battery.
and Third revolutionary as Gramophone .
