UNESCO World Conference on ESD Success Factors in Education: Policy and Practice

The UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development highlighted the crucial role of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) as a key enabler for the successful achievement of all SDGs, the COVID rebuilding process, and to create momentum for strengthening ESD in policy and practice (https://en.unesco.org/events/ESDfor2030).

The Conference was held as a virtual conference from 17 to 19 May 2021.

As part of the Conference, we conducted a live session on which we show ed a short video presenting the 12 key success factors that contribute to advancing the implementation of ESD within the educational system, as published in our Policy Handbook: Advancing Education for Sustainable Development – Key Success Factors for Policy and Practice.

Our fantastic panellists also discussed key factors presented in the policy handbook and how to advance implementation in their countries (Canada, Germany, Kenya and Russia).
