Prosecutor Grills Laurie Shaver About Husband’s Dramatic Death

Under cross-examination, Laurie Shaver was grilled about what she did after she claims her ex-lover, Jereme Townsend, killer her husband, Michael Shaver. Laurie said she took her children to school and moved on with her day as normal. When she got home, she said Michael and Jereme weren’t at her house, so she told her children their father would be “gone for a long time.”

Florida mom Laurie Shaver was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in 2020 after her husband, Michael Shaver, had been missing since 2015. His body was discovered buried beneath a concrete slab in Laurie Shaver’s backyard. In a shocking twist, the couple’s daughter confessed to the crime, claiming she shot her father to protect her mother, who allegedly said he was abusing her at the time. However, in opening statements, Laurie Shaver’s attorney said her lover, Jereme Townshend, shot and killed Michael. If convicted, Laurie Shaver could face life in prison.
