Famous singer KS Chithra has sung over 25,000 songs in several languages including, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, Tulu and others. She has also sung in foreign languages such as Malay, Latin, Arabic, Sinhalese, English and French.

KS Chithra has been on song for 40 years. Life has not changed much for her; it’s just being rearranged. And despite her constant presence on top of the charts and with over 25,000 songs, 35 State awards in her kitty, she remains modest, simple and engrossed in her career. She has won six National Film Awards so far which is the most by any female singer in the country. KS Chithra is known for her sweet voice. She is also known as the Nightingale of South India, Piya Basanti of North India, Sangeeta Saraswathi in Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
