This video has over 120 full CG shots and 5.5 minutes of CGI animation to create the Samurai Swordfight. We created the previs and finished the motion capture cleanup and additional animation all inside of UE5.

This is my third time collaborating with director duo and partners-in-crime Kyle and Steven (they were instrumental in making Stay - Inspired by The Last of Us!) and Richard Oakes completed all of the visual effects of the band single-handedly. For such a barebones crew, I think we were able to punch well above our weight.

A project of this size wouldn't be possible without an incredible team. The original concepts came from Amos and TesseracT themselves with a unique other-worldly vision. The environments were brought to life by Florent Vilbert, Sterling Slack modeled and textured the Samurais, and the animation was brought to life by Tyler Lindsey, Andrea Lim, Yaroslav Yarmolovych, and assisted by Matthew Blader and final Control Rig was created by Matt Ringot.
