Warren Buffett's Value Investing is not outdated and this video is a warning to all growth investors who think it is.

Growth investors are saying that Value Investing is dead because Berkshire Hathaway has failed to beat the S&P500 in recent years. They believe Warren Buffet has lost his touch; And while this is highly entertaining to watch, I actually find it a bit concerning.


I’m conscious that new investors might get exuberant, be fooled into thinking that they can just ignore valuations, and not pay attention to the current economic environment.

As someone who invests for both growth and value, I think I can offer a balanced perspective and I hope that this will enable you to make better investing decisions.


In this video I cover three things:

1. Why it makes no sense to compare Berkshire’s returns to any fund or index over the past 5 years
;
2. Why Value Investing is not dead; and
3. The lessons you can take from this as an investor going forward.

Of course the YouTuber I'm referring to is Chicken Genius Singapore. And let me just say again that I am a big fan of his channel and I get huge value from his insight. I just disagree some of his views and I think its important we all share our perspectives :)
