Jet BD920 Chip Catcher 9x20 metal lathe

Hi there! Today I am going to be building a chip chatcher or back for my Jet BD920 Metal Lathe. This chip catcher fits the stand that can be ordered
with the Jet BD920. This lathe is one of the many clones of the Asian #9x20 copies of an Emco Compact 8. My lathe sits against the wall and when turning the chips go all over the place including behind it. It makes it a real mess to clean. This chip catcher will keep the chips confined to the pan and
the floor in front of the lathe. It also keeps oil and coolant off the wall as well. This was constructed of sheet metal I had laying around. Not sure
what gauge. It was not wide enough so I had to tack two pieces together. All of this was done with my Century flux core welder. To keep it from warping a series of tacks were done then ground smooth. 4 bolts hold the catcher to the stand. It works well and makes cleaning a bit easier.
