7 Upcoming 3D Platformers | 2024

2023 was an incredible year for 3D platformers and this year and next are shaping up to be even better. This year I’ve compiled a list of seven (and three honorable mentions) incredible looking upcoming 3D platformers that you need to keep an eye on. I reached out to some of the indie developers behind these games for more information – and I even got to play some of them!

Since 2023 we’ve gotten Cavern of Dreams, Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara, Jusant, Pseudoregalia, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and Boti, and this year we already have Penny’s Big Breakaway and a huge update to Super Kiwi 64. With all of these games (and the ones from my past videos in the series still around the corner, and a new Mario, Sonic x Shadows Generations, and a rumored new Banjo-Kazooie game) the current state of 3D platformers is looking great!
