This is the game film of a 1982 regular season Philadelphia Catholic League Football matchup between Cardinal Dougherty and North Catholic played at Northeast High School's Charlie Martin Memorial Stadium in Philadelphia. Rosters for both teams are included before the game film begins.
Unfortunately, both of these schools are no longer open. They both closed at the end of the 2009-2010 academic year. Northeast Catholic High school for Boys opened on September 8, 1926 and was recognized as the world's largest Catholic high school for boys in September 1953 when enrollment peaked at 4,726 students from 98 parishes. Cardinal Dougherty opened in 1956 as a co-educational school and enrollment peaked in 1965 with 5,944 students. Although CDHS was founded as a co-educational school, a wall separated the boys and girls side of the building. It was not until 1983 that boys and girls were educated together in the same classrooms.
