In episode six of Strange Reads 'Why Read This?' series we look at E. M. Forster's, The Machine Stops.

Now, if this story isn't on every high-school syllabus for both English and Environmental Studies, teachers are missing a trick. E. M. Forster produced an incredible feat of foresight in writing The Machine Stops in 1909. Once again, an interesting author with ties to other big names in literature. Probably best known for Howard's End, A Room with a View, and A Passage to India, this is Forster's only foray into science fiction.
